I have a Long sword and I want to sharpen and clean it.?

I think it is a long sword. I am 5ft tall and the sword is almost as tall as me standing up. I think it is 4'11. I bought it in a yard sell. I bought two swords. One I know is one handed and then this one is a lot bigger. I think a long sword or maybe a 2H I am not sure. When I smell it (sounds weird I know) It doesn't smell like iron. So I guess it is some kind of steel, The blade looks clean and I can tell it has been sharpened and dulled again. I also can see where it has met with another sword. The handle is a little wobbly and you turn it a little not a lot though. I got both of them for $40 (After talking him down the damn price) and He said he used both in war when he was over seas. Bought them in Pakistan. They both have Pakistan on the blades but i don't know if HE really used them. Anyways, please tell me how I can sharpen this sword and maybe polish or clean it in some way.
