What state should I go to and what should I see?

I am going to take a weekend trip before school starts with the kids. I don't want to go far away so the states that I could go to would only be Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or West Virginia. We would only want to see 2-3 things that are kid friendly. The kids are 12 and 9 years old. Also, we are not a big fan of the outdoors. We like museums, specialty stores (Hershey's, Jeni's Ice Cream, American Girl) or national monuments. We have been to Chicago but we only saw the Sears Tower and American Girl so we would love to go back! Thanks so much for all your answers.
