Can a girl take a guy out on a date?...like on Usher's Trading Places song?

I know that technically we can, but would it be too weird? I really wanna go see the Terminator movie this weekend, but I don't wanna take any of my girls with me. Can I take a guy out to dinner and a movie (guys your opinion is needed)? I mean I wouldn’t mind paying; it would be a win-win for me.
