Can someone please recommend a good fiction book thats about 300 pages??

For my 10th grade honors english cl we have to read 500 pages each 9 weeks and i decided that 2 of the books i want to read are the great gatsby and as i lay dying but each are only about 220 so im just going to read one each 9 weeks and get another book thats about 300 pages to go with each...im not sure if that makes sense or not but its not really important anyway. so if anyone could recomment a good fiction book about 300 pages that would be great it does not necessarily have to be a clic or anything but atleast a 10th grade reading level....thank you and i will pick best answer....o and if you could give a brief description about what the books about thatd b awesome!! :) thanks
