Someone please help me! No one is answering my question! ?

I have been cursed with the flu that has also given me the secondary infection bronchitis. I had this back in April which ended up being pneumonia. I refuse to let it get that far again. Life was hell during that. I don't understand how only 4 and 1/2 months later I get it again. Is it possible I didn't fully get rid of the virus and that is why it relapsed so soon? Any ideas for prevention?? Would the flu shot help to eliminate this problem??? Is it normal to keep getting it this close of time apart? Please someone answer! This is disrupting my life and work.
