Which clic American lit novel should I read for my 11th grade Honors English research project?

Catcher in the Rye. It is one of my favorite books. It is a really easy read and it is really funny. It is basically about this kid Holden who is really depressed and he acts really childish, but is trying to be an adult. You have to read it.
